Federal Skilled Worker Program Overview

Work experience: Must have at least 1 year of paid work experience within the last 10 years, in a job that matches your primary National Occupational Classification (NOC) code.

Education: If you studied in Canada, you need a certificate, diploma, or degree from a Canadian secondary or post-secondary school. For foreign education, you must obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an approved agency to show equivalency.

Language ability: Take an approved language test (English or French) and achieve a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in writing, reading, listening, and speaking. Test results must be within 2 years of your permanent residence application.
