Visitor Visa

Get Your Visitor Visa

Every year, Canada welcomes approximately 50 million people from different countries. Canada offers various visa options for tourists, visitors visiting family and friends, short-term study, business visits, and other specific activities. Each visa type has its own set of requirements and purposes.

You must show that you’re a genuine tourist or visitor and intend to leave Canada at the end of your stay. In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements for the temporary resident category, applicants will require either a visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA).

The eTA is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals who plan to travel to Canada by air. It is an electronic document linked to the traveler’s passport and is typically valid for multiple visits over a period of up to five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.
On the other hand, a visitor visa is required for nationals of certain countries who are not eligible for an eTA. The visitor visa is a paper document that is placed in the applicant’s passport and grants permission to enter Canada for a specific purpose and duration.

Both the eTA and visitor visa applications will involve providing information about the purpose of the visit, travel plans, proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses, ties to the home country, and other relevant details to establish the applicant’s genuine intention to visit Canada temporarily.
